Ring, ring, ring, ring──
Alarms rang loudly and fire trucks were dispatched!
Although Xiaoyi was nervous and scared, he still rushed to the fire scene...
Can the timid fire truck Xiaoyi complete the mission bravely?

You can overcome your fear if you're willing to try!

Features of this book

Some children are naturally courageous and eager to try new things; others, like Fire Truck Eeyore in the book, are naturally cautious, their timidity causing constant worry for the adults around them. It's not that they don't want to be brave, but rather that they need more time to mentally prepare themselves, anticipate possible situations, and think about their next steps. No one has to be brave. While reading "Brave Fire Truck" with your child, you can encourage them to coexist with their fears and find ways to accept and cope with them.

What's wrong with a little courage mixed with a little fear?

Readers' Feedback

After overcoming his fear and bravely rushing into a fire, the little fire truck, Xiao Yi, still prays that the fire won't break out. He's not deceived by the halo of being a hero. What a pure and kind child! -- North Coast Giraffe My two-year-old nephew loves this book. He always grabs me and reads it to me. I think this is the best proof that it's suitable for children! -- Aunt Xingxing Who says people are always strong and fearless when facing the unknown and difficulties? Xiao Yi in the book is timid, but when he encounters a fire scene that needs his help, he still rushes forward without hesitation. Through this book, I teach my children that with hard work, you can overcome your fears. It's a book about courage and worth sharing with them. -- Rookie Mommy I really love this picture book. When I was little, I was also very resistant and afraid of certain things, and I didn't want to face them at all. But as long as you muster the courage to take the first step—even if it's small and slow—as long as you don't give up and keep trying, you will eventually overcome your fear. Just like Xiaoyi in the story, although his fear of fire led him to take a long detour, delaying his arrival at the fire scene, he ultimately embraced everyone's encouragement, returned, and successfully put out the blaze. —Joe Zhi, Japan. My two-year-old son borrowed this book from the library and fell in love with it the moment he read it. The protagonist, Xiaoyi, is a fire truck, but he's extremely afraid of fire. He even needs encouragement from ordinary cars and animals on the grassland to get him motivated to fight the blaze. For my son, the best part of this book is that it breaks the stereotype that boys must be strong. He finds it reassuring and relatable that boys too have moments of fear, wanting to escape, and needing help. —Miss Treehouse, Japan. Xiaoyi, the tiny fire truck, is not only small, timid, and afraid of fire, but unexpectedly, when he arrives at the scene of the fire, he makes the most of his small size and wins everyone's admiration! My son absolutely loves this story! —Ikari, Japan.
My 3-year-old son couldn't get enough of the book "Brave Fire Truck" after reading it at the library, so I decided to buy it. The book not only features the child's favorite fire truck, but also gives courage to all children. It's really cool! —Reader at Amazon Japan

I studied Japanese in school, and one day, on my way to school late, I followed Mr. White Rabbit and dove headfirst into the world of children's books. I currently live in my rabbit hole, occasionally pushing a cart out to sell text. I've translated many delightful books (some will make you laugh until your stomach hurts, others will make you use up a pack of tissues). I've produced more books than I'm old, and I hope to eventually surpass my weight.
