Rediscover the initial feeling of encountering nature
Li Qiao, a sixth-grader, runs a homestay near Wulai Mountain.
She discovered that her father and his elementary school classmates seemed to be hiding a secret.
For example, there were supposed to be six people in the class, but there were always only five people gathered.
For example, the B&B always has an unusually spacious suite that is never occupied by any guests.
This group of adults seemed to be looking for and waiting for someone.
They couldn't contact him, but they still wanted to know how he was doing.
Li Qiao pieced together all the clues and found that everything seemed to be related to a black bear.
Not only can the bear talk, it was actually Dad’s classmate!
After so many years, how can I overcome all the obstacles and find him in the mountains?
Is the black bear okay? Does he still remember his classmates?

Praise from all walks of life
Thank you, Professor Youyu, for writing this sequel, allowing humans and bears, civilization and nature to reunite and intersect once again in this story. The simple, heartwarming dialogue and plot point to the blind spots of human thinking. Even though time passes and each person's appearance changes, the mark and influence left on each other's lives will only grow deeper with longing! — Parenting communication writer and lecturer Luo Yijun. Last year, I was heartbroken to read the report on the black bear's death at 7-11. Both humans and bears yearned for a peaceful future, but the bear ultimately sacrificed itself. A 2024 report from Zhuoxi Township, Hualien, noted a rebound in Taiwan's black bear population, demonstrating conservation efforts but also potentially leading to more human-bear conflict. I thought of my aunt in Canada, who often shared videos of black bears roaming her yard. It's amazing that humans and bears can coexist peacefully in the same space! How much effort and education is needed to truly cultivate respect for animals and the pursuit of equal coexistence? Professor Youyu's new book, "My Classmate is a Bear 2," provokes reflection on the issue of human-bear conflict, bringing both laughter and tears. It's definitely worth reading! I'd also like to know what happened to Hey Bear in the story? Knock on the bowl, episode three! --- Xie Chunzhen, librarian at Tucheng Elementary School in New Taipei City. "My Classmate is a Bear" may be a fictional story, but the book mentions many real habitats. The joy of reading this story is wandering between reality and fiction. Taiwan's indigenous mythology considers black bears to be human-like, while the Bunun mythology mentions children raised by bears and learning bear language. What kind of story will unfold when you discover your classmate is actually a black bear? You might even develop curiosity and questions about black bears, and one day you might even work with them as colleagues in ecological conservation. I invite you to read this book and recommend it to everyone. --- Black bear ecology researcher and writer Guo Yanren (Guo Xiong)
A class reunion in the mountains?! A friendship that has lasted for twenty years. Will this black classmate finally show up? The story begins with the black bear returning to his old school. Twenty years have passed. The mountains, the environment, the habitat, the relationship between people and black bears...what has changed and what has remained the same? Welcome back to the mountains to participate in this special class reunion! -- Xing Xiaoping, Principal of Guting Elementary School in Taipei City. This is a very heartwarming story that will make you more and more moved the more you read it! When I saw a black bear appear at the door and say, "I want to go to school, can I?", tears welled up in my eyes. I am looking forward to the sequel where all the protagonists of the story will return to my memory. -- Loyal reader Xiaoli

I like scripts, love fairy tales and love novels.
Novels always allow novelists to encounter certain things.
In other words, novelists always encounter things that can be turned into novels.
To be more precise, what a novelist sees are stories.
Many times she felt that she was just a story.
He has published over 50 books, including "Bad School Girl," "Boring Town," "Jianghu, Is There Anyone Else?", "A Stone's Throw Away," "How's Today? As a current illustrator, my favorite medium is picture books.
When I draw, I like to incorporate a little bit of everything, experimenting with the possibilities of my medium. My favorite themes naturally revolve around people and animals, and my favorite corners of the world are cats' bellies and dogs' noses. I hope to continue creating works that are warm, powerful, and reflective of life.
My favorite quote comes from Mr. Michio Hoshino: "One of the most important environments in our lives is the rich life that surrounds us. Their existence not only heals us, but more importantly, it also allows us to understand what it means to be human."
A graduate of the Department of Philosophy at National Taiwan University, his work has been selected for the Feng Zikai Picture Book Award, the Bologna Illustration Prize, first prize at the 2022 Taipei International Book Fair, and the 2023 and 2024 Golden Tripod Awards.
