Talking to the mirror like a fighting fish: The mirror of erised: a poem collection of Hong Hong

This is the first poetry collection by poet Honghong. The collection is organized into chapters arranged like a 24-hour timeline. Each chapter is like returning to the mirror several times a day and talking to oneself again. The collection includes 99 poems written over the seven years since Honghong began writing and publishing poetry in 2018. She commissioned Xiao Yihui, a writer and freelance editor, to oversee the collection. In addition to helping define the collection's style, she also oversaw editing, layout, and design.

"The largest mirror in the house was always the one in the master bathroom. She loved to linger in front of it. She later understood that when Narcissus saw himself in the water, perhaps it wasn't narcissism but loneliness. Poetry was sometimes like a piece of cloth, wiping away her inner world, wiping away the noise related to herself or the various aspects of life. Poetry was more like a mirror. Sometimes she looked for herself in the mirror, and sometimes the girl in the mirror was a true companion."
