Deer Calling

Zheng Tianjing's first poetry collection. It consists of six volumes: Volume 1: Sex Between Yin and Yang; Volume 2: The Singing Deer; Volume 3: The Island of Liquids; Volume 4: The Luster of Leaves; Volume 5: The Black Tomb; and Volume 6: Dawn at the Foot of the Mountain. It contains a total of thirty poems.

Malaysian Chinese poet Fang Lu wrote a preface for the poem:

Zheng Tianjing is the young poet with the most explosive imagination in the Malaysian Chinese poetry world. He achieved the first climax of his personal creative life in a very short period of time, about five years. This is a very precious literary process and phenomenon. It also means that the poet has the ability to respond with poetry and use stillness to control movement in the changing times, social unrest, ethnic disputes and cultural atmosphere in which he is located, to unlock the key to his own creation and at the same time deliver resounding results.

Zheng Tianjing, born in 1996, is from Bukit Mertajam. He graduated from the Chinese Department of Xiamen University and is currently studying for a master's degree in comparative literature at Beijing Normal University.

His works have won the New Poetry Judge Award of the Seagull Youth Literature Award, the first prize of the National College Literature Award, the first prize in the Poetry Group of the Irrawaddy Literature Award (2017 and 2018), the First Prize in Poetry Creation of Xiamen University Malaysia, the Excellence Award of the Tunku Abdul Rahman College Literature Award, the Excellence Award in the New Poetry Group of the University of Malaya Deepening Literature Creation, the Youchuan Short Poetry Award, etc.

His works are included in books such as "Vowel Scale - Selected Literary Works of Bukit Mertajam Writers 1957-2016" (Malaysia You Ren Publishing House, 2017), "Selected Malaysian Chinese Quotations" (Taiwan Xiuwei Information, 2018), etc.
