"Snail Uprising" compiles poems meticulously crafted over the past decade at a snail's pace and published in newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and mainland China. It also includes poems that have won the Huazong Literary Award and were shortlisted for the New Poetry category of the Times Literary Award. Highly recommended by renowned poet Tang Juan (Liu Zhengzhong, Professor and Head of the Department of Chinese Literature at National Taiwan University) and renowned scholar Professor Lin Jianguo (Associate Professor of Foreign Languages and Literature at National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University), the book has been critically reviewed and written in its preface.

Many of the poems in this collection are warm and approachable, with diverse writing styles and a unique sense of design. The first volume of the collection focuses on love poems, but also contains intellectual elements, many of which deal with love and friendship, and how love is digitized and spatialized in the internet age. The second volume of the collection surveys global dynamics, offering sharp observations and reflections on issues such as imperial landscapes, terrorist politics, climate justice, the COVID-19 pandemic, patriotism, Chinese identity, and racial discrimination. Many of the poems in this collection reveal the author's vibrant and bright poetic spirit. This publication marks the conclusion of the poet's poetic career during the prime of his life.
