Grandmother's Words collects 60 poems written by poet Tan Yuyan in Singapore between 2013 and 2017. Taking hometown, family, separation, and life as entry points, the book engages in a dialogue with time and space.

They are the silent call of the black hole deep in the universe, the secret hidden in Brodsky's suitcase, the brilliant orange of the Gobi poplar trees in the autumn wind, and the ink painting of a flawed soul on its journey.

Chen Yuyan
