Hu Jiuzhou, born in 1997, is a native of Johor Bahru. He graduated from Kuan-Fu High School in Johor Bahru and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kampar, and is currently a graduate student in the Chinese Language and Literature Department at National Taiwan University.

He has won several literary awards at home and abroad, and has worked at the Malaysian Chinese Literature Museum. He has served as a lecturer, literary camp instructor, and sharing guest in Taiwan, Malaysia and other places.

He is currently serving as an editor for "Jiaofeng" magazine, a text editor for Facebook's "Read a Poem for You Every Day", and a teaching assistant for courses such as Taiwanese Modern Poetry.
