As I write, wildfires rage in California, the Russia-Ukraine war continues, the Gaza massacre rages on, Trump sharpens his sword, and the economic recession envelops our lives, forcing us to lie flat under the pressure of reality. Utopia has long since left the future and accelerated into the present, where we lie flat on our backs, glaring at the sky. This issue of Voice and Poetry Magazine features the "Lying Flat" album, titled "Lying Flat." The submissions from all corners of the world echo a similar sentiment.
