The seeds that fell into the soil in the past have sprouted
The evening mist once again spreads from the eyes to the sea
The shadow eventually becomes real from the real.
All things are fleeing from the poet's proposition
Only thoughts are spared
This book is the sequel to poet Hong Shuqin's first collection of poetry, published in 2011, after more than a decade of hard work. It includes sixty poems written since 2012, divided into four sections: "Those who leave the shore will all arrive as desired," "Time is a Prison," "The World is New and Old," and "Only Thoughts Are Spared," and includes a special recommendation from poet Wang Qijiang.
Wang Qijiang believes that "there is no more honest confession and self-examination than poetry. This collection of poems is full of hidden pain or release of suppressed cries. Each of his poems, when he sits alone and ponders over it over and over again, stares at promises, expectations, and non-conclusions, and also has an outlet... When reading his poems, one must never forget his soldier's mind, which is the unique position and height that distinguishes him from other poets." In the contemporary reading environment that advocates sadness that is frivolous and shallow, and emotions that are easy to replace but difficult to retain, the existence of military poets and their works is even more special.
Hong Shuqin
Born in 1976. Mentally, he maintains the Virgo's meticulousness and meticulous cleanliness, but his daily routine is constantly squeezed and distorted by chores, projects, and urgent official documents.
Born in the vast expanse of eastern Taiwan, he spent years honed his uncle-like temperament in various defense zones both within and outside the island. After his parents' death, his alcohol tolerance and enthusiasm declined. Although he remained frugal, he still found goldfish at the bottom of his glass.
My sense of balance in all things is still overflowing, but when I witness injustice, I have become accustomed to a wry smile and repeated reflection, forging my joys, anger, loves and hates into poetry, and guessing when the law of fate will collapse and when it will solidify.
A graduate of the National Defense Management College with a degree in Accounting and the Graduate School of Law at Soochow University, he is currently serving as a colonel. He collaborated with colleagues from the Botanical Garden Poetry Society to publish "Graduation Yearbook: Selected Poems of Six Members of the Botanical Garden" (1998, Taiming Publishing). His personal poetry collection, "A Guide to Walking Through the Ruins" (2011, Niang Publishing), was shortlisted for the Taiwan Literature Golden Classic Award in the new poetry category. His work has also been published in various publications.
